Broccoli is an edible plant.  The flowering head is what is more popular.  But the soft tender stalks are edible as well as the leaves that can be eaten like how you would with any other leafy greens.  Broccoli is very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. Has a high content of vitamin C that can make you less susceptible to both non-fatal and fatal heart diseases.

Broccoli likes it cold, so store them in your refrigerator.
